My daughter has been buying books to have an assortment of Christmas books for her daughter.
She asked me about this book, that she remembers we had had when she was a little girl.
She wanted to buy their own copy but it is crazy-expensive now
I found our old copy and obviously it is not in mint condition
but it is still in great shape for all the reading it got and to be 28 or years old.

It really is a special book.
All the pages are pop-ups
and it has little things to pull and turn for more activity.
We won't be selling our copy, even for $900.
I've read it to the grands several times and I think I enjoyed it as much as they did and just like their parents-aunts and uncles did.
That is very special! I love when the grands enjoy the books and toys my own kids did. Last week Greg read them "The Night Before Christmas" from the book that was his when he was a kid. I couldn't stop smiling while he was reading. :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a very cute book but $900?? But I would never sell it either. For your family this book is priceless! So many memories.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful book! I have a lot of my kid's favorite books from when they were little. I am hoping that one day I will be blessed with a grandchild and that I can share my children's favorite books with him/her!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely book...wonderful family heirloom to share with your grandbabies...that's priceless.
ReplyDeleteI have this book! It is packed away with my teaching supplies. When I come across it you can have my copy!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet book.
ReplyDeleteThat's an adorable book, but how in the world can they be worth so much money?!?!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and many blessings to you and yours in 2013.
Hugs, Cindy
That is an awesome book! We had it when we were kids, and I'm pretty sure my mom still has it - so the grandkids can enjoy it, too. It's a delightful rendition of the real story of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter used to love pop-up books when she was little. Looks like a wonderful book!
ReplyDeleteI love the old book, what a nice thing to pass down. It's so important to read to children, and especially to read them the true Christmas story about Jesus! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you'll be blessed in 2013!
