Princess
Cake and Cookie
bakery emulsion
I heard about this flavoring from Caryn Ross that cooks on channel 9 here in Oklahoma.
She put it in sugar cookies that looked a lot like those big frosted cookies from the grocery store and she raved about how good this Princess flavoring is. She said is the same flavoring that good bakeries use in their white cakes and sugar cookies.
So, I went looking for it. Hobby Lobby sells it and so does Amazon and King Arthur flour company.
It is made by Lorann.
It is a thick flavoring, be sure to shake it well before you measure it out.
I have added it to sugar cookies, pound cake and Mexican Wedding cookies.
and it is delicious- kind of almond-ish, a little lemon-ish, a little vanilla and butter-ish.
I add it along with any vanilla the recipe calls for.
The pound cake muffins I baked today called for 1/2 t vanilla and I also added 1/2 t Princess and they were perfect.
Have you ever heard of Princess?
I have never heard of this product...how is it sugar wise? What kind of sugar is it?

DeleteI have never even heard of it! Sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...never heard of that. This is the week to try it since Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon.
ReplyDeleteBought a bottle of this at Ross for $2.99 - put it in sugar cookies so far (along with a bit of vanilla) and loved the flavor. Would be good in cupcakes, muffins (poppy seed, perhaps), even pound cake [and icing/frosting]!
